About Your Lieutenant Governor
Ok, so most of you are probably saying, "so who is this 'Elizabeth' person, anyway?" So I thought I'd tell you a bit about myself and how I ended up as your lieutenant governor...
On March 18th, 2005, I went to the New York District Convention (which was tons of fun as always, and which I hope to get as many of you to as possible next year
). At Convention, I was told that our wonderful division still did not have a lieutenant governor. Now, I don't know about you, but that news worried me quite a bit. I mean, our division would be in deep trouble if we had to go a whole year without any sort of link to the New York District Board or Kiwanis International. So... to make a long story short, I decided that I wouldn't let that happen to the mighty Division 18, so I volunteered to be Division 18 Lieutenant Governor for the 2005-2006 year. That night, I was officially nominated at the caucus, and everyone who was there from our division voted to elect me Lieutenant Governor. I went to various meetings throughout the weekend, and on Sunday, I participated in the annual ceremony for the retirement of the old District Board and the installation of the new District Board. From then on, I was officially your Lieutenant Governor!
Basically, my job is to be the liason between each of the division 18 clubs and the New York District, and I am prepared to do everything in my power to fulfill that job. I know that through increased communication and a lot of motivation and enthusiasm, our division can do amazing amounts of service in the coming year. I also know that each club has it's problems, but you should all know that I am here to do everything I can to help you overcome those problems. Any questions about... well... anything!, feel free to call me, email me (ltglizbeth@yahoo.com), or talk to me online (LTG lizbeth).
I'm really looking forward to getting to meet and work with each and every one of you in the coming year. I know it sounds corny, but I know that together as a division, we can be great!!
